Looking to learn more about the HighScope approach and preschool curriculum? This online course will teach you how to use the HighScope resources, Essentials of Active Learning in Preschool by Ann S. Epstein and Let’s Play and Learn Together! 30 At-Home Activities to Share With Families by Tricia S. Kruse.
Essentials: Series 4 will focus on the following content topics:
- Working with Families
- Reviewing Let’s Play and Learn Together! 30 At-Home Activities to Share With Families
- Child and Program Assessment
- Working with Staff
Participants will learn how these topics are implemented within the HighScope approach, as well as support strategies that can be used within the preschool classroom and program as a whole. Each week participants will complete chapter readings, “check my understanding” questions, discussion forums, and live Zoom meetings with peers and facilitators. Connecting with teachers and other early childhood professionals to discuss the basic principles of the HighScope Curriculum and share implementation ideas will be a focused mode of learning for participants. The Digging Into HighScope Resources — Essentials has four Series and you can choose which series is best for you. They can be taken in any order.
