Workshop Summary: Young children come to us with family histories and the potential for bright futures, and together teachers and parents determine how best to promote children’s optimal development and learning. As parents are a child’s first teacher, strengthening early childhood parental partnerships is vital. High-quality early childhood programs are poised to ensure parents understand the science of early childhood, encourage family engagement, and strengthen parent advocacy skills. This session will feature early childhood experts who are engaged in this work.
