Large-Group Time for Active Learners— Online
Large-group time is a segment of the daily routine in which children and adults come together for companionship, sharing creative movement and music ideas, and the enjoyment of doing this together as a community. In this four-week online course, learners explore the elements of large-group time and discover strategies for sharing control while scaffolding children’s developmental learning and curriculum content.

Learner Requirements — Tools and Technology:
* Learners will need access to a computer with sound and internet access to complete weekly assignments. It is recommended to use the Google Chrome internet browser when navigating through the course.
* Learners will need access to a preschool classroom to complete discussion and Try It Out assignments.
 
Learner Requirements — Attendance and Grades:
* Learners must complete all assignments within the course timeframe. This includes weekly learning units, reading assignments, Check My Understanding quizzes, discussions, and Try It Out assignments.
* Learners must pass each Check My Understanding with a minimum score of 80% and achieve an overall course score of 80% or higher.

  • Course Registration closes two weeks before class starts. Late registrations cannot be accepted.
  • Please provide participant(s) name(s) and email address(es) in the order notes on checkout.
  • If paying by PO, please complete online registration for all of your participants, and send in a copy of your web order with your PO to press@highscope.org.
  • Participants will receive their welcome email with login instructions 1-2 days before class starts.
  • Please provide a current email address to enable course communication.
  • HighScope offers full refunds to learners who withdraw from a course five or more business days prior to the start date. No refund will be issued to learners who withdraw four or fewer days prior to the start date. Refunds will be issued for learner materials returned in saleable condition.  Cancellation must be received by email to press@highscope.org.
  • This course is three weeks long, plus a registration/welcome week (total four weeks).
  • This course is 10 credit hours.
