HighScope is excited to announce that it will use a $1.5 million Lilly Endowment grant to strengthen the organization’s capacity and expand its impact on early childhood education nationwide.

The grant comes as HighScope advances significant enhancements to its curriculum, assessment tools, and professional learning supports in response to emerging research and evolving needs in the early childhood field. Together, these efforts will help educators deliver high-quality, active learning experiences that meet the needs of today’s children, families, and programs.

Why Lilly Endowment Is Supporting HighScope

Lilly Endowment recognizes that high-quality early learning experiences in childcare and preschool programs can have a lasting impact on children’s educational and life outcomes. National organizations such as HighScope play a vital role in strengthening the quality, affordability, and availability of early learning opportunities across the United States.

What the Grant Will Fund

Funding from Lilly Endowment will support critical organizational improvements, including:

  • Enhanced distribution systems to deliver resources to educators more efficiently.
  • Expanded digital resources for teachers and programs.
  • Increased accessibility so more programs and communities can benefit.
  • Additional content expertise to keep materials grounded in research.
  • Strengthened professional learning capacity to support more educators.

These investments will help HighScope scale its impact, deepen engagement with educators and communities, and ensure more children nationwide benefit from high-quality active learning.
