HighScope Fellow Time Commitment
*HighScope will cover the cost of the scholarship. All travel and lodging will be covered by the fellow.
Preschool Curriculum Course
Training dates 2025–2026
In-Person Sessions
(at the HighScope Research Foundation in Ypsilanti, MI):
- July 14–18
- July 21–25
Virtual Sessions (via Zoom):
- PCC Week 3: February 2–5 & March 4–6
- PCC Week 4: April 8–9 & May 13–15
Course Requirements
- Monthly Assignments: Participants must complete and submit assignments each month, including the PCC homework packet.
- Video Submissions: Participants are required to submit video recordings of specific classroom activities:
- October — Small-Group Time
- November — Large-Group Time
- December — Message Board/Greeting Time
- January — Planning and Recall
- February — Work Time
- March — Read-Aloud Time
- April — Outside Time
- Virtual Meetings: Three additional virtual meetings will be scheduled, with dates determined by the trainer and group.
Technology Requirements
- A Windows or Apple computer with a webcam and internet access.
- A video recording device, such as a smartphone or video camera.
Certification Requirement
All Preschool Curriculum Course participants must become HighScope Certified Teachers by May 2027.
Infant and Toddler Curriculum Course
Training dates 2025–2026

- July 14–18
Virtual Sessions (via Zoom):
- ITCC Week 3: February 2–5 & March 4–6
- ITCC Week 4: April 8–9 & May 13–15

- Monthly Assignments: Participants must complete and submit assignments each month, including the ITCC homework packet.
- Video Submissions: Participants are required to submit video recordings of specific caregiving and learning experiences:
- October – Group Time With Materials
- November – Music and Movement
- December – Arrivals and Departures
- January – Choice Time
- February – Feeding and Mealtimes
- March – Diapering
- April – Outside Time
- Virtual Meetings: Three additional virtual meetings will be scheduled, with dates determined by the trainer and group.

Trainer of Trainers (TOT) Course

- June 22-26, 2026

- Virtual Meetings: Three additional virtual meetings will be scheduled, with dates determined by the trainer and group.

Certification Requirement
To successfully complete the Trainer of Trainers (TOT) Course, participants must:
- Successfully complete all course requirements and coursework.
In addition, as part of the HighScope Fellowship, participants are expected to:
- Present at two HighScope conferences.
- Facilitate four workshops within two years to share the knowledge gained in the TOT course.
