“Time to get to work!”

That was the first thing our President and CEO, Dr. Alejandra Barraza, said the moment the $2.5 million grant from the Gates Foundation was official. While a celebration was certainly in order, our team at HighScope didn’t spend long celebrating. We knew this investment was a strong vote of confidence in our mission, and we have been “all systems go” ever since to ensure that every dollar translates into a better future for early childhood education. We haven’t slowed down since that first day, and we’re just getting started.

The grant will support HighScope’s efforts to integrate cutting-edge research into our curriculum, ensuring that educators and children benefit from the most effective, evidence-based practices. In addition, the funding will enable HighScope to enhance our internal systems and operations, increase our capacity to serve communities nationwide, and contribute to the development of research-based educational products across the sector.

“This grant represents a transformative opportunity for HighScope,” said Dr. Barraza. “It allows us to deepen our commitment to excellence in early learning, while also building the infrastructure needed to expand our reach and influence.”

Since 1968, HighScope has stood firm in the belief that every child possesses limitless potential. As the educational landscape evolves, the tools we provide must evolve with it. This grant ensures that our research-based curriculum and assessment tools do more than just keep pace — they set the standard. By blending cutting-edge developmental science with our foundation in active learning, we are evolving to meet the needs of today’s educators while staying committed to the potential of every child.

We are deeply grateful for the support of the Gates Foundation and are excited about what this means for the teachers, parents, and young learners we serve. For more information about HighScope and its initiatives, visit www.highscope.org or contact us at 800-587-5639
