3.4 IACET CEUs

This one-week learning event is the first part of a four-week course designed to provide learners with a foundational understanding of the HighScope Infant-Toddler Curriculum and support teachers in implementing the curriculum in the classroom with their children. Upon successful completion of this learning event, including daily readings, assignments, and Check My Understanding quizzes, participants will receive 3.4 CEUs and a certificate of completion.

By the end of this learning event, learners will be able to:

  • Identify the five ingredients of active learning.
  • Connect the Key Developmental Indicators to examples of sensory-motor learning.
  • Apply the guidelines for arranging and equipping the play and care spaces for active learners.
  • Create a plan for providing materials that appeal to all of children’s senses.
  • Identify ways to make infant-toddler daily schedules and caregiving routines predictable yet flexible.

Learner Requirements:

Learners are required to participate in all Zoom sessions and activities. Learners will complete a Check My Understanding quiz each day and will need to achieve a score 80% or higher for successful course completion. Upon successful completion of this learning event, learners will receive IACET CEUs and a certificate of completion.

  • Course Registration closes two weeks before classes start.  Late registrations cannot be accepted.
  • If paying by PO, please complete online registration for all of your participants, and send in a copy of your web order with your PO to fulfillment@highscope.org.
  • Participants will receive their welcome email with login instructions 1-2 days before class starts.
  • Please provide a current email address to enable course communication.
  • HighScope will grant refunds (minus the cost of student materials) to students only if they withdraw from the course prior to its start. Cancellation must be received by email to fulfillment@highscope.org.
