With HighScope’s professional learning, teachers gain proficiency in implementing an inclusive, active approach to early education that supports every child’s individual needs and interests.

HighScope offers a wide range of professional learning options, both in-person and online, to support the unique needs of any program. Our courses provide thorough training for teams at all experience levels and support educators in reaching their professional learning goals.

HighScope coaches work to boost teachers’ ability to turn their vast early childhood knowledge into high-quality curriculum implementation through the assessment of teacher’s strengths and the use of descriptive feedback during coaching cycles.

Professional Learning Options

In Person
Our face-to-face learning events feature active engagement, collaboration, and thorough support for individuals and teams of all experience levels. Our instructors have a deep background in early education, with ample classroom experience to provide expert guidance in the implementation of the HighScope Curriculum and Approach. All learning events can be held on-site at a school or program and HighScope also holds summer learning events on-site at HighScope’s historic campus in Ypsilanti, MI.
Hybrid
HighScope’s hybrid professional learning events deliver unmatched one-on-one support through real-time video conferencing on HighScope’s online meeting app, HighScope Meet. Facilitated by expert HighScope instructors, each course features regular virtual meetings filled with opportunities for meaningful discussions between learners and a course instructor as well as daily readings and assignments.

Online
HighScope’s online professional learning events offer flexibility and the support of an interactive learning community. Moderated by HighScope instructors, online learning events take place within HighScope’s user-friendly learning management system.

Our expert instructors facilitate a variety of weekly online activities, including Try It Out assignments, in which learners apply course strategies and activities in their classroom, and weekly discussion board posts, where learners share their reflections and results, ask questions, and receive feedback from their peers and instructor.
