HighScope’s Infant and Toddler Curriculum courses support high-quality implementation of the HighScope Infant and Toddler Curriculum through direct engagement with curriculum content. Areas of curriculum content in these learning events include active learning, caregiver-parent relationships, supportive adult-child interactions, arranging the learning environment, establishing schedules and routines, and child and program assessment. Reading and reflective writing assignments help learners understand the central components of the HighScope Infant and Toddler Curriculum and hands-on activities allow learners to practice direct curriculum implementation in their own setting.
Preschool Curriculum Courses
HighScope’s Preschool Curriculum courses support the effective implementation of the HighScope Preschool Curriculum in early childhood programs. Instructors facilitate learner’s active engagement in course content including active learning, adult-child interaction, learning environment, daily routine, and assessment. Assigned readings from HighScope’s preschool curriculum resources provides learners with ample opportunity to learn about and study the HighScope Curriculum. With guidance from the instructor, learners work in teams and individually to understand the curriculum components and their relation to child development theory and practice.
