This is week two of a four-week (120 hour) training course designed to lay the foundation for understanding the HighScope Infant and Toddler Curriculum and support teachers in implementing the curriculum in the classroom.
By the end of week two of ITCC, learners will be able to
- Develop a sample daily schedule that incorporates elements of active learning and includes specific modifications to accommodate different individual schedules.
- Identify and list examples of encouraging statements.
- Implement strategies for engaging mobile infants and toddlers during a group time activity that involves materials as well as one that involves movement and music.
- Explain attachment styles and discuss their significance.
You must complete all assignments on time and in the order they are listed. Upon successful completion (80% or higher) of all training, daily readings, assignments, and Check My Understanding quizzes for this week, participants receive 3 IACET CEUs.
