This revised and updated book presents 50 early math activities that meet the needs of preschoolers. The activities build on children’s natural interests and offer them the time and freedom to construct and reflect on math ideas. Teachers can use these step-by-step activities throughout the day, using mostly common, everyday materials.

Aligned with the early childhood standards of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) and organized according to HighScope’s Numbers Plus content areas, the activities in this book will help children gain competence in number sense and operations, geometry, measurement, algebra, and data analysis.
