SUMMARY:Program Quality Assessment (PQA) Infant-Toddler - Online
DESCRIPTION:2.7 IACET CEUs \nHow do we know that our programs provide meaningful experiences that produce strong outcomes for infants and toddlers? The Infant-Toddler Program Quality Assessment (IT PQA) tool allows programs to seek answers to this question. The IT PQA is a tool that helps gather data on how to best support staff development\, improve program practices\, and evaluate program quality. In this six-week online course\, participants examine assessment items centered on the topics of the learning environment\, schedules and routines\, adult-child interaction\, child observation and planning\, family support\, staff qualifications and staff development\, and program management. \nBy the end of this learning event\, learners will be able to: \n\nConduct classroom observations.\nWrite objective evidence to support their scores.\nReliably score each item on the Infant-Toddler Program Quality Assessment (PQA).\n\nLearner Requirements: \nLearners must complete all assignments within the learning event’s timeframe. This includes weekly learning units\, reading assignments\, Check My Understanding quizzes\, discussion posts\, and Try It Out assignments. Learners must pass each Check My Understanding with a minimum of 80% or higher and achieve a total overall score for the learning event of 80% or higher for full credit. \nOnline instructional activities may be started and stopped at the participant’s leisure over each week\, allows learners to complete coursework combined along with and informed by teaching. Learners will need access to a computer with sound and internet access to complete weekly assignments. It is recommended to use the Google Chrome internet browser when navigating through the course. SUMMARY:Preschool Program Quality Assessment (PQA) Reliability Test
DESCRIPTION:This exam is offered to certify that you are a Reliable PQA Assessor. The test is composed of ten sections and includes scoring evidence for Preschool PQA Form A and Preschool PQA Form B; and viewing and scoring video clips. You have one week to complete all ten sections of the test. Most people complete the test in two-three hours. To successfully complete the test\, you must score 80% correct on each of the 10 sections. \nYou will need a copy of the Preschool PQA Form A and Preschool PQA Form B to answer the test questions (PQA forms are not included in the price of the exam. To order PQA forms\, call 1.800.407.7377). \nMDE is defining formal PQA training as training implemented by HighScope Field Consultants or HighScope Staff. The training will have used the HighScope PQA Training Agenda and resulted in a Certificate of Completion from the HighScope Educational Research Foundation. Any ECS who is not currently a reliable assessor must complete the online training and examination. \nPresently the Preschool PQA can be used to score fidelity to the HighScope Preschool Curriculum.
